This virtual training, presented by the Center for Community Engagement, is intended for those interested in learning how to incorporate trauma-informed practices within their Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) framework. The training will cover the following topics:
- An overview of how trauma impacts students academically and behaviorally
- Trauma-informed practices that can be integrated into the PBIS framework to create a safe and supportive school environment for students with Adverse Childhood Experiences
- Trauma-informed classroom strategies teachers can use to de-escalate problem behaviors
Participation certificates will be offered for the 3-hour session.
